Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 10, 2026

Welcome to Someone. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Relationship Labs, Inc. ("Relationship Labs", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your use of our websites, web and mobile applications, the Someone assistant (including conversations by chat and text message), our organization-facing service portal, and any related services (together, the "Services").

Please read these Terms carefully. We have tried to keep them as plain and readable as possible.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, chatting with Someone, opting in to text messages, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization (for example, as a caseworker or administrator using our service portal), you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. Separate written agreements between Relationship Labs and your organization may add to or override parts of these Terms for your organization's use.

2. WHO MAY USE THE SERVICES

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live (usually 18), you may use the Services only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; see our Privacy Policy for details.

You may use the Services only where doing so is legal, and you agree to use them in compliance with applicable laws.

3. THE SERVICES

For individuals. Someone is an AI-powered resource navigator. Through a conversational assistant available on the web and by text message, the Services can help you:

  • Find and learn about assistance programs (such as food, housing, health, and other benefit programs) from our program database;
  • Talk through your needs and goals, and keep track of them over time;
  • Save programs you're interested in and get details about them;
  • Receive follow-up reminders and check-ins, including by text message if you opt in.

For organizations. We offer a service portal for participating organizations (such as social service agencies) and their staff. Portal users can manage client engagement, review communications and follow-ups, use program search and recommendation tools, and view analytics and reporting. Information that clients share through the Services may be visible to the organization that serves them — see our Privacy Policy for more.

White-label offerings. Some organizations offer the Services under their own name and branding. These Terms apply to those branded versions as well, unless the organization presents you with different terms.

We are always improving the Services and may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. IMPORTANT LIMITS OF CITIZENAI — PLEASE READ

Someone is an AI assistant, not a person and not a professional advisor. Its responses are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.

  • Not professional advice. Nothing provided by the Services is legal, medical, mental-health, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional or a qualified caseworker.
  • Verify program information. Assistance program details (eligibility, availability, deadlines, benefits) can change. Always confirm important information directly with the agency or organization that runs the program before relying on it.
  • No guarantee of benefits. Using the Services does not guarantee that you will qualify for, receive, or keep any benefit or service. Those decisions are made by the administering agencies, not by us.
  • Not an emergency service. The Services are not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger or in crisis, call 911 (or your local emergency number), or call or text 988 in the United States for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

5. YOUR ACCOUNT

You may need an account to use parts of the Services. You agree to provide accurate information when you register (or when you accept an invitation), to keep it up to date, and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at hello@someone.care if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

6. TEXT (SMS) MESSAGING TERMS

If you opt in, Someone can send you text messages — for example, follow-up reminders and check-ins about your needs, goals, and programs.

  • Opt-in. You will only receive texts after you clearly agree to receive them (for example, in a conversation with Someone or during sign-up). We keep a record of your consent.
  • Message frequency varies. Standard consent covers a small number of messages per month (currently up to 4); we will only text you more often if you separately agree to it.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard charges apply to texts you send and receive.
  • Opt-out any time. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or tell Someone to stop. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@someone.care.
  • Not a condition of service. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of using the Services or of receiving any benefit or service.
  • No marketing sharing. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Delivery. Text messaging depends on your carrier and device; we are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to misuse the Services. In particular, you will not:

  • Break the law, or encourage or help anyone else to;
  • Impersonate another person, or provide false information to obtain benefits or services;
  • Access or try to access another person's account or data without permission;
  • Probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Services or their security;
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data from the Services, or use the Services or their content to train competing products or models, without our written permission;
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Services except where the law allows it;
  • Use the Services to send spam or unwanted messages, or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
  • Upload viruses or other malicious code.

We may investigate violations and may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

8. YOUR CONTENT

"Your Content" means the information you share through the Services — for example, your messages and conversations with Someone, your profile, needs, and goals, and (for portal users) notes and records you create.

You own Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content — and to share it as described in our Privacy Policy (for example, with the organization that serves you) — for the purposes of operating, providing, protecting, and improving the Services and complying with the law. This license lasts as long as needed for those purposes.

You are responsible for Your Content. Please only share information about other people if you have the right to do so.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Services may link to or describe third-party programs, websites, and services (for example, assistance programs run by government agencies or nonprofits). We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, decisions, or actions. Your dealings with them — including any application for benefits — are between you and them.

10. OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Services — including our software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the Someone name — belong to Relationship Labs or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services as allowed by these Terms. We reserve all other rights. You may not use our names, logos, or branding without our written permission.

If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.

11. PRIVACY

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services you acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Because the Services support care relationships, some of what you share may be visible to the organization or caseworker that serves you, as described there.

12. TERMINATION

You may stop using the Services at any time. To ask us to close your account, contact hello@someone.care.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your organization's agreement with us ends, or if we discontinue the Services. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (for example, Sections 8, 10, and 13–16) will survive.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CITIZEN SOLUTIONS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED RESPONSES AND PROGRAM INFORMATION) IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) CITIZEN SOLUTIONS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Relationship Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION; GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at hello@someone.care and give us a chance to resolve the issue informally within 60 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring the claim elsewhere. You and we each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only individually, not as part of a class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example, through the Services or by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.

18. MISCELLANEOUS

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any organization agreement that applies to you) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we don't enforce a provision, that isn't a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship, and there are no third-party beneficiaries except as expressly stated.
